Republic Day 2027 Status Video: Make Your Own with Photos and Music
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Republic Day 2027 is on Tuesday, 26 January. Schools, housing societies and offices hold flag hoistings across the country, and your own photos from that morning make a better post than a stock tricolour image. Here is how to make the video.
Free, no watermark, no login. Message 'जय हिंद! Happy Republic Day' filled in.
Make a Republic Day video →What to capture on the morning
- The flag hoisting, as a short clip. Start filming just before the flag unfurls.
- The salute or the assembly, as a wide photo.
- Children in tricolour dress or performing.
- Decorations: rangoli, tricolour balloons, the stage.
- The parade on television, if the family watches together.
Step by step
- Open the Free Short Video Maker with the Republic Day preset. The message 'जय हिंद! Happy Republic Day' is filled in.
- Add your photos and clips. Put the flag hoisting clip first.
- Trim the clip to the moment the flag opens: three to five seconds.
- For wide photos of the assembly, choose Fit so the whole group is visible.
- Choose music. Search the free library for "patriotic", "march" or "orchestral".
- Add the name of your school, society or family.
- Make the video. It is a vertical 720×1280 MP4 with no watermark.
For schools and housing societies
A short video on the same morning is appreciated by parents and residents who could not attend.
- Ask one person to take photos and one to film the hoisting.
- Six photos and one clip are enough.
- Put the institution's name in the Name field.
- Share the file in the parents' or residents' group, and post it on the institution's Status.
Because the video is made on the phone and nothing is uploaded, photos of children do not pass through anyone else's server.
Showing the flag properly
- Show the flag the right way up: saffron on top, green at the bottom.
- Do not place text over the flag in a photo. Put the message on a photo of the gathering instead, or choose a photo where the flag is in the upper part and the text sits lower.
- Do not crop the flag awkwardly. If the flag photo is wide, use Fit.

Posting
Post on the morning of 26 January, soon after the hoisting. The file works as a WhatsApp Status, an Instagram Reel and a YouTube Short. For a public Reel or Short, use a library track or your own recording, since recorded patriotic songs are usually copyrighted.
The other national days
The maker also has an Independence Day preset for 15 August. The steps are the same.
